5. The passage in the previous question declares the Holy Spirit as a source for us. What does He bring into our lives, according to the same verse?

[Your Response Here]

My son has a blankie, and it is a source of great comfort to him. It’s a rather posh blankie—a baby gift from an upscale children’s store. Even though it is a hand-me-down from an older brother, and has been washed innumerable times, it looks like new. It’s not an everyday kind of blankie, though. It’s a trippie blankie. In other words, it stays in the van, next to his car seat. Whenever our family gets ready for a trippie (any kind of short-distance car ride), my boy straps himself in, grabs up his precious blankie, and pops his finger in his mouth. When my husband and I crane our necks to make sure every child is safely buckled in, we can’t help but smile at this little guy. He’s the picture of contentment.

When your journey gets long, do you have a source of comfort?

6. Do we sometimes try to find substitutes for Jesus—other sources of contentment? What do you find yourself leaning on?

7. How does Ephesians 4:15–16 describe Jesus in relation to His people?

[Your Response Here]

Christ offers us daily assistance, divine opportunities, and eternal provision. He also extends to us His Word, which allows us to arch over the world’s distorted mindset to receive the pure wisdom that is from above.
